Data can be imported from a file in the AGS 4 and 4.1 Format (www.ags.org.uk).

The following AGS Groups are imported in the default setup.

AGS Group        ESdat Table

SAMP                Chemistry_Samples

ERES                Chemistry_Results

ELRG                Chemistry_Results

PIPE                Wells

BKFL                Borehole_Backfill

WSTG                Borehole_Waterstrikes

WSTD                Borehole_Waterstrikes

ISPT                Borehole_SPT

DOBS                Borehole_Advancement

DPH                Borehole_Advancement

GEOL                Geology

CORE                Geology_Samples

DETL                Borehole_Depth_Comments

The data from the above AGS Groups is copied into ESDat Excel Import Templates for the relevant ESdat table.  If unrecognised columns are encountered when importing the user will be able to specify the ESdat Column that the data should be imported into.

If other AGS Groups are included in the AGS file, they will not be imported, but the AGS Groups and their data will be loaded into the ESdat Excel Import workbook so users can review the data, and decide to either not import it, or copy it into an ESdat Import Template for import.
