ESdat can come with different systems designed for slightly different purposes. These systems can be provided as an Access or SQL Server database.
When you bought ESdat you would typically be provided with a system which fits you needs. It is possible to use your version of ESdat with other systems produced by EarthScience Information Systems, however, there may be an additional charge.

The SQL Server versions of ESdat can be run over the internet. If users who do not otherwise have an ESdat licence wish to access the database over the internet a project licence can be arranged.
A project licence allows any unlicenced user with an appropiate access file and login/password to view the project data through ESdat.
