If we want to query groundwater information on a per aquifer basis, how can I distinguish between aquifers within ESdat, for data that I have already imported and can it be done at the import stage. Which is the correct table to edit ?

All chemistry samples and water level data can be given a “WellCode”. This is then matched against data in the “Wells” table.
Each Well can be given a “MonitoringUnit” or aquifer, and that aquifer information is included in the water chemistry outputs. If that data isn't coming through it suggests that the LocCode / WellCode doesn’t match. You should ensure you have entered the WellCode for the samples. You may need to edit or import the "Monitoring Unit" in the Wells table, or edit the WellCode in the Chemistry Samples table. This can be done in ESdat using Edit mode, or by reimporting and using "Update". Edited by moderator Monday, December 21, 2009 11:13:15 PM(UTC)
