Surface Water samples and Monitoring Zone

We are currently working on a project which is primarily surface water sampling over a large area (the entire Province of Alberta). To help differentiate the various areas, we are using the "Monitoring_Zone" field from the Location table. The issue we have is when we try to use Monitoring_Zone in the Water Chemistry to create tables/charts for the different areas, nothing shows. However, if I then take the surface water locations and input them into the wells table (BH2_Wells), then using the monitoring zone concept works. For this particular project, this isn't an issue as we have no well data. However, it might become an issue when we have projects that have both GW and SW samples. Is there a particular reason why monitoring zone is tied into the wells or an issue that could be fixed in a future release? Thanks in advance. Eric
