I have just found out that there has been doubling up of certain chemical compounds under different chem codes and chemical names e.g. TRH fractions, also the units are different. When the data was uploaded, new chem codes were created instead of aligning the available TRH fractions. Is there a way it can get fixed easily?

Doubled up chem codes.doc (120kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

Hello,

The TPH Codes are a particular issue with the change in Codes a few years ago, with the adoption of TRH as a replacement for TPH is Australia.

ESdat has a function to help with this under Setup - Chemistry -  Fix TPH Codes.  There is also another function Setup - Chemistry - Consolidate ChemCodes.

There are some instances where these functions wont be able to work, such as when a result is present under both variations of the ChemCode, in which case the incorrect version can't be renamed or duplication would occur.  In this case the only way to clean it is to edit the ChemCodes in the raw data.  See the help manual for editing bulk data.

Regards,

Warwick

Thanks

Hello,

I think it was added in 4.3.  The current release version is 4.4.  You should upgrade, version 4.2 is a few years old and predates that NEPM change from TPH to TRH.
