Inconsistent Importing - How to Fix?

Hi there everyone! We have recently noticed that certain analytes have been imported inconsistently from one monitoring round to the next. In particular, it seems that VH C6-10 is getting imported as VPH C6-10, which is incorrect. This happens for soil and for water analyses. The attached file, Capture.png, shows what I mean, using the yellow highlighting. When there is no result on Volatile Hydrocarbons (VH6-10), there is something in the VPH C6-C10 field. Is there any way to fix this after the fact, quickly and relatively painlessly? It's already been a source of much grief. My theory is that the wrong ChemCode was selected for import for the May 2013 data. Also, how can I fix this so that it doesn't happen in the future? This is a huge waste of time, and something I thought the database system was supposed to make easier. How can I make it so that I don't have to use the "Get Chem Codes" facility and it just imports correctly, accepting the chem codes and names that the lab has in the CSV file? bgcamroux attached the following image(s): Capture.PNG (49kb) downloaded 9 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. I would try going into the ChemQA2 table, filter for the chem code you want to change, click on the edit icon on the left side of the screen and then click on the ChemCode cell at the top of the column. That should highlight the entire column, then in the cell underneath, type in the correct chem code. That should change everything at once to the desired code.

Also, for the second part of the quesiton, the lab should be reporting in the correct ChemCode which should be going directly into the system. If you do need to use the "Get ChemCodes" tool you should also be getting a prompt to send the file to support to look into any ChemCode problems in the lab data. It sounds like for this particular chemcode it was a one off, in May 2013, and it is now going in correctly? Warwick
