Hi,

Using ESdat 5.

We were trying to upload some environmental standard: DER Western Australia landfill criteria standards.

When we press import ESdat does not recognize chemical "TPHC10_>35_Aliphatic"

We click on the beaker (pipette) button, find the chemical we are looking for in the library (zRef_Chemicals), assign it to the chemical that is coming up with an error  and press update.

Everything appears to update just fine but when we go to import again the same error and cell comment comes up. The "updating" process does not appear to work.

Please help! thank you

Hello,

The issue is that the ChemCodes for TPH were modifed some time ago as a result of NEPM in Au, and similar in Canada, and trends in other countries to be of the format:

CX-CY  (ie C6-C10)

CX-CY-Arom

CX-CY-Aliph  (ie C6-C10-Aliph)

etc..

The ChemCodes shown aren't of the new nomenclature, and you must have some in your zRef_Chemistry_Lookup table that are also of the old nomenclature.  The issue is that ESdat is trying to update them to the new nomenclature during import, but then finding that the new nomenclature isn't what is being used in your zRef_Chemistry_Lookup table!

To resolve select Setup - Chemistry - Fix TPH Codes in ESdat.  Then check your zRef_Chemistry_Lookup table to make sure there are none remaining of the old nomenclature.
