Hello,

I would like to enquire if it is possible to edit Location_Codes on a project that has been fully imported into ESdat. Our internal work systems require unique identifiers for all our soil bore locations and have discovered that one project that has been entered has the wrong assigned unique identifiers in the Location_Code column. The unique identifiers belong to a dataset that is yet to be imported. As I understand that the Location_Code is the main relationship linkage to tables in the database, I want to confirm:

1. Its possible to edit the Location_Code

2. If it can be edited, what impact does that have on the linkages to all other tables

3. The best approach if editing is possible to ensure that it is fully converted

4. Options if editing Location_Code is not possible.

Hello,

Yes you can edit data.  See http://www.ESdat.net/ESd...editing_and_deleting.htm

If you edit a Location Code in the Locations table the changes will cascade to all other tables.
