Error message when loading site documents

Hi, When I try to import a document into ESdat using the document import table it comes up with an error message saying 'path not found'. I'm using ESdat 5, and am following the same process for uploading a document as I had used (successfully) for the previous version of the software. Has anyone had a similar issue? Is there a simple fix for this? Many thanks Shona

Hi Shoana, The error message could be improved. This error in the SQL Server version of ESdat indicates that the document management (Setup - Document Management) in ESdat is using a share folder (ie copying the files to a share folder, normally on your server). In your case ESdat is trying to copy the files to the folder, however the folder path isn't available for your login or is incorrrect. ESdat has an alternative, to store the files in the database, rather than in a share folder, which was the only option in ESdat 4. Only an ESdat Admin can change those settings. ESdat also has a "Document_Path" option (also can only be set under Setup - Documents but admin), where the file isn't moved at all, just the path to the file is stored. You will need to discuss the correction of the Document Path, or whether documents should be stored in the database with your admin user. Warwick
