Hello,

I'm trying to set up some spatial grouping for a site I'm working on, and so far I have three groups: Well Centre, North Area Site, and South Area Site.  All locations of interest have coordinates entered using the appropriate projection (UTM Zone 10N).  I use the MAP tool to select the points I want in, say, North Area Site, then click the "To Filter" button and apply the filter.  Then I move over to the DATA view/page, double check that the filter is applied, and click the "Assign Filtered Locations to a Spatial Group" button at the bottom of the left-hand tool bar.  Then when I clear the filter and return to the map view, I enter SpatialGroups.Spatial_Group_Name =  'North Area Site' into the filter box and apply the filter.  It's at that point that some of the locations that I had just moments before assigned to the North Area Site grouping disappear from view, only to reappear again when I click "Remove Filter".

So my question is: What Gives?  Why are some locations seemingly unable to be added to spatial groups?

Thanks,

Brad Camroux

Hi Brad,

When a Spatial Group is saved, the locations are actually stored in a table you can see under Data Tables - SpatialGroups.  Are those missing locations in that table?

If you could let us know that in the first instance.  If they are not there, then we will look at why not, if they are, then we will look at why they are not being returned when filtering by that Spatial Group.  Is there anything unusual with those locations (ie a unusual character?) we've not come across this issue before.

Regards,

Warwick
