Environmental Standards Questions - Matrix/ depth and Colour ?

I've been looking to see if there is any documentation on this: The questions: What is the behaviour of the DEPTH/ Conditional Matrix type standards - if one or more of the components are missing on the sample? EG - If we have a Sample that has depth but NO Conditional_Matrix_Type ? What if we have a result in exceedance - of all options, but it has neither Conditional_Matrix_Type nor Depth? Does it default to the worst case, or simply not show any exceedance if one component is missing? I see that default colours can be set for standards via the Zref_Environmental_Tables_Config table. Is there an easy way to pick the colours? Or a table of what the colours correspond to ?

For the Conditional components of an environmental standard at the Sample level (ie Depth, Location, Matrix) , if the data is missing in the Sample then the relevant conditional component of the Standard will be ignored, ie a conditional depth of > 1 for a guideline will be ignored for a Sample if the sample doesn't have a depth. Where a condition is based on the concentration of another compound (ie Hardness or pH), then a result for that compound must be in the Chemistry Table that is exported. It is ideal to have a standard that is not dependant on another compound, that will apply when the dependant compound is not in the table. We are reviewing whether a compound condition should just be completely ignored if that compound isn't in the exported table. We're finding that some users are finding it difficult to work out why data isn't flagging as an exceedance when conditions are involved. In a future update (probably 5.1.28) a macro will be included called "TestConditionalLimitsForOneCell" that will give that information one cell at a time, and can be run by pressing Alt-F8 in Excel. The second part of the question relates to the colours that are set for a guideline and are visible to the user in the zRef_Environmental_Standards_Config table (SQL Server version only). These are set and applied when producing tables through the web interface. The Desktop application is ignoring these at the moment. Use of default colours per guideline is likely to be introduced to the desktop application in the future.
