Location Codes Not Appearing Following Import

Hi guys, Following import of lab data for new sampling locations, the new location codes are not appearing in the Locations tab or within the Location data table; however the Chem Tracking tab does show the new loc codes. We are able to create new loc codes with the same IDs as the ones we just created as part of the lab data import (but that weren't appearing). Have you seen this before? Any thoughts? cheers

Hi Joe, Normally there is a foreign key in the database that prevents a Location Code being assigned to a Chemistry Sample unless it is in the Locations table. We have seen once before that that Foreign Key wasn't present (the reason why wasn't clear) and it was possible to assign a Location to a Chemistry Sample even though that Location isn't in the Locations table. It sounds like you have the same situation. Unless that is intentional I'd suggest export the data into a fresh database (using the EDIF). If your fresh database also has that issue your new database template may be the problem, and that may need to be replaced. Warwick
