Hi, just wondering if anybody here has figured out a way to produce borelogs quickly and easily without using the iPad, i.e. via manual data entry? I've had a play with using an ESdat "Standard bore log" template and exporting this to ESlog but this seems a clunky way to produce a log given the number of different tabs in the spreadsheet. The direct manual entry to ESlog seems a bit more intuitive. (Perhaps I'm answering my own question here.) If anybody has any thoughts, would like to hear them. Cheers

Hi Richard, You seem to have identified there are three main options to enter borelog data into ESlog. - Type directly into ESlog
- Excel Import Templates to import to ESdat and generate them from ESdat.
- Use PLog.
The first option is free, but isn't designed for field usage.
The second option you can use if you have ESdat, but is essentially data entry into Excel - again not specifically designed for field usage. The logs produced are generic and should meet most purposes, but sometimes people want them customised.
The last option is specifically designed for field usage rather than office usage, and would be relevant if you wanted to review and configure your whole borelog workflow from electronic field data capture through to the final log. This of course is the option to choose if you're looking at optimising efficiency. Warwick
