Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to differentiate between normal TPHs results and those that have und**SPAM**ne silica gel cleanup.  We use silica gel clean up to determine the true contribution of petroleum based hydrocarbons and naturally occurring hydrocarbons.  So we would like to be able to show the TPH results and the TPH silica gel cleanup results as separate entries.  Is this possible with the current version of ESdat?

If you have an 'Analyte' that you consider to be different to those that are listed in the Chemistry Lookup Table, or if you can't find a suitable match, you can add an additional ChemCode for it.

If you are using the 'Get ChemCodes' form during an import from Excel the 'Add Code' button on the bottom right will allow you to do this.  You can also import directly into the Chemistry Lookup Table.

The function of ChemCodes is to allow compounds that may have different names at different labs or in different environmental standards to be linked.  Therefore if you add a ChemCode for a compound, and if you want to compare that compound with environmental standards or with resuts from another source you should consistently use that ChemCode for that compound.

Using different ChemCodes will result in the results being treated as being different 'Compounds'.  If the compound is not of particular interest for comparison with other data then there is no negative implication in adding any random ChemCode for it.
