Hi There,

Just trying to utilise teh post import calculation feature and when I import the post import calculations i get an error message stating that '32300 Item cannot be found in teh collection corresponding to teh requested name or ordinal.'  The post import calculations are appearing in the ESdat table but the calculation is not running and the calculations are not appearing in the chemistry table or reports.

Can you please assist.

Regards

Hi Marc,

Can you confirm if you also get the same error if importing the same post import calc to the Sample database?

Which ESdat table are they appearing in, the "zRef_Post_Import_Custom_Calculations"?  Are all fields in the data populated?

Regards,

Warwick

W - I'm also seeing an error in the Post import Calcs. Possibly different - but mine is from one of the standard ESdat imports.

I imported the C:\Program Files (x86)\EScIS\ESdat 5\Post Import Custom Calcs\01. Reproduce Sulphate as SO4 as Sulphate as S.ESdatCalc

I'm running it on our biggest SITE. It currently has 65 Projects associated with it. Am trying to run across the whole Site.

t is returning a Violation of Primary key error. When I copy the SQL into SSMS and take a look at the SELECT component of the view - i see that it is actually returning the Same record 65 times (one for EACH available Project on the Site clearly)

Experimenting with the SQL in SSMS - If i remove the ThisUsersSites and Sites_Projects and Projects tables - its back to returning only 1 record. So my question:

Are the supplied ones correct for Multiple Project Sites? Safe to remove the project entanglement from the post import calcs?

A quick update - I added a join Between the Chemistry_Samples PID and the ID on the Projects table and it went back to 1 record. Is this what is missing ?

Hi Justin,

Yes there is an issue with that post import calc if you have more than one active project at a site at a time.  We'll follow up with you, and include the correction in the next update for others.

Hi Warwick,

Using the alkalinity / sulphate and chloride / sulphate ratios.  Have the relevant data in the tables, from laboratory file import so details should all be correct.  Tried with the sample database and had the same error message.

Hi Marc,

You get the same error message as in your original post?  Could you confirm which ESdat table are they appearing in, the "zRef_Post_Import_Custom_Calculations"?  Are all fields in the data populated?

Are you talking about the calc "17. Calculate AlkalinitySulphateRatio.ESdatCalc". ?  It imports into the sample database (in the current version at least).  Which version of ESdat are you using?

Regards,

Warwick

Hi Warwick,

Using access version 5.1.10.  Same error message as in my original post for both databases.

Can confirm the calculations  are they appearing in the "zRef_Post_Import_Custom_Calculations" and all fields in the data are populated.

Thanks: 7 times

Hi Warwick,

I'm using version 5.1, but only seem to have two Post Import Custom Calcs ("Calculate Cr III as Percent of Total Cr" and "Reproduce SO4 as S") in the relevant folder. I'm interested in the one that does the conversion of bicarbonate as Alkalinity.

I presume there are quite a few more.

Is there a way to download these?

Thanks,

Richard.

Hi Richard,

They are included in the ESdat installation folder.  However, the post import calc approach is largely legacy from before labs were able to easily issue results in the form that is needed.  Most labs can report Alkalinity in various forms directly, and also include it in the same/required form on the COA, and where they can that is the current approach.  However the post import custom calcs continue to work if needed.
