Hi, i was entering some GME water level and quality monitoring round data (Autumn 2020) for job J10018 on Friday 12 June between approx 1530 and 1900 and it didn't upload properly. Annoying but i thought i'd just enter it again today; however, it won't let me enter the data again as ESdat states the data is not unique which makes me think the original data i uploaded is still hanging around as 'ghost' data or something.

Can you please look into it and if possible, restore the lost data or clear it so that i can enter it again? Unless absolutley necessary, please don't clear the whole monitorign round as i don't want to lose the existing data in there.

The lost data was for the Woodend site for locations MW1 to MW10 collected between 19th and 21st May 2020.

Let me know if you need further info.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry but we can't delete data for users.  Are you able to more fully describe what you are doing, the name of the Monitoring Round and Location Visit you are editing, and attach a screen shot of the error message you are getting?

Thanks,

Warwick

Hi Warwick,

See attached image of error message  ESdat error message_location MW1 Woodend.png (138kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

Monitoring round : Autumn 2020

Example location visit: WOODWW_MW1

I am just trying to enter new field data again, i.e. groundwater level and field chemistry, after an initial failed attempt due to a faulty internet service.

The problem affects not just location visit WOODWW_MW1 but also those postfixed MW2, MW3, MW4, MW5, MW6A, MW7, MW8, MW9 and MW10.

Richard

Hi Richard,

That message is indicating that you already have a water level in the system for the same Location, Well and Date/Time.

It will be entered in one of the other Monitoring Rounds.  If you only have a small number can check those.

Alternatively to see a full list of the water depth records you have in the system you can see that in the Data Views.  The Groundwater Depths Table would be a good one to use (the Field Portal Reports will also show fied results) and will indicate all the Groundwater Depths and the Monitoring Round they are in.

You can then open that Monitoring Round and if the data is incorrectly entered there either edit or delete it.

Doh!!! Looks like i entered the 2020 data into the 2019 monitoring round by mistake. Sorry for wasting your time.

Can i move data from one monitoring round to another?

Cheers

Hi Richard,

You can rename a Monitoring Round, if renaming it to 2020 would resolve the issue.  However, there is no way in ESdat Online to move field data between monitoring rounds.
