Hi,

The server version of ESdat no longer appears to have the option to modify Original Chem Names for individual projects as shown in the support portal. Just wondering if this is a deliberate change or just something that is occuring on my end?

I also have issues with loading certain Chem Names in the Original Chem Names search box. For example, I am unable to load anything to do with moisture content. Do you know if there is a reason for this?

Cheers,

Jason

Hello Jason,

Chem Names can be modified under the Chem Profile menu. Further details are available here:

https://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Online_Help/chemcodes.htm

https://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Online_Help/chem_names.htm

Can you please provide the Chem Names you are searching on and the location of the Original Chem Names search box you are referring to eg: are you using the Chemistry Search in the top menu of the application?

Thank you

Hi Jason,

The Project dropdown box doesn't appear until you've completed your search for an Original Chem Name.

I'm curious what you're using the Original Chem Codes section for.  Would you be able to proviode a bit of a description?

It might be that there is an alternative way to acheive what you're doing through this screen.

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Heide and Nick.

I am trying to search for anything moisture content related but also have issues searching other sepecific items such as metals and pH. I am using the Original Chem Names feature of Chemistry Search (refer to screen shot below).

The aim is to be able to show Moisture Conent and MoistContent@103 in the same column/row in the chem results and RPD tables. I could achieve this by consolidating the ChemCodes but do not really want to do this for the whole database. From memory you could achieve a similar outcome using the Original Chem Names feature but at a project specific level. However, it has been a while since I have used this function so I may be mistaken.

Cheers,

Jason
