I am generating GW elevation tables using the pivot table function. When data is not available, cells are populated with "blank". Is there any way to have this actually blank or report as a dash?

Hi Nick,

Can you please include some screen captures of what you are seeing, and what you would like to see?

I'm not really following what you're trying to achieve, so some visuals might make this a bit easier for me to understand.

Cheers,

NT

Table 2 - Groundwater Elevations.xlsm (18kb) downloaded 5 time(s).I have attached the pivot table. The cells in question are elevation (renamed GS) and TOC. We have no data for DP1 and thy report as "(blank)". Is there any what to avoid this?

Is it possible to have all cells for which no data is available be filled with a dash?

Hi Nick,

To confirm that I understand correctly, you have exported the data from ESdat Desktop to Excel using the Pivot Table export:

Pivot_.PNG (23kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

Where there is no data in ESdat it displays in the Excel file as (blank):

pivot_blank.PNG (2kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

ESdat is utilising the standard pivot table funcitonality in Excel, so unfortunatley there is nothing we can do about this as it is due to the grouping in Excel.

If your aim is to use the pivot table as a report, you can copy and paste values into a new sheet, and then format it however you like as it will now just be values you can edit.

Cheers,

NT
