Hi,

We have been reviewing holding time information for lab data that has been improted to the server version of ESdat and it appears that the sample extraction date is not being imported correctly.

The ESdat files supplied by the lab (....Chemestry3e.csv) have both the extraction date and analysed date included for a sample but when ESdat imports the report the analysed date is used for both the extraction and analysed dates. This means all the extraction dates and analysed dates in ESdat are the same even though they are different in the lab report files.

Is this bug or is there some easy way to get ESdat to read the extraction date in as per the lab report?

Regards,

Jason

Hello Jason,

We have investigated the import of extraction and analysed dates on the Chemistry3e.csv and have found there is an issue where the analysed date is saved to both fields on import. We have raised this with our tech team to get it fixed so both dates are correctly imported.

Kind regards,

Heide

Hi Jason,

An update was released last night that fixes this issue. You should now see the Extraction and Analysed Dates importing correctly from your lab reports.

Kind regards,

Heide

Thanks Heide.

The Extraction and Analysed Dates appear to be importing correctly for newly recieved lab reports.

Any ideas on how to rectify the problem for  lab reports that have been imported prior to the issue being rectified? We have a large number of lab reports were the Extract and Analysed Dates are incorrect.

Regards,

Jason

Hi Jason,

The only way to change this is to re-import the original Lab Reports, as the extraction date won't exist in the database for previously imported files.

You have to options two do this:

1. Ask the lab to resend all the Lab Reports to your LabSync email address and process them from the Lab Uploads page.

2. You can download the original files with the "Download Lab Report Files" button in the Lab Report Details, then re-import using the "Add Lab Report" option in the Lab Reports menu.

Both approaches will likely require you to Reject the Lab Reports before re-importing them, and you can find mor details on the in the Online Manual here: https://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/index.html?lab_report_details.htm

Thanks,

Nick
