Given the lenght of some chem names, ESdat maximum character limit leads to a few issues when trying to append the shortened names for PFAS for example.

Is there a way to get around this issue?

Hi Will,

The Server version of ESdat allows Chem Name lengths of up to 100 characters.

For Access it is shorter but it is fine to edit the field length of the Chem Name field in zRef_Chemistry_Lookup to match this. You can do this if you open the database in Access.

Remember that you'll need to do this in each Access Project database (or at least the template database and any that you want to allow longer lengths).

Before rolling this out though, I would recommend using a copy of a database you want to use this on to validate that it will work the way you want.

Cheers,

Nick
