Hi all, I've been having problems with importing my Chem Look Up table into ESdat. When I do, a number of analytes turn purple and have the error 'Record Already Exists' on the chem code. When searching to see if the record actually does already exist, it seems that this is not the case.

Furthermore, when I import my lab results, some analytes which had this error in the Chem Look up table now have an error saying 'Chem code is not in the Chemistry Look Up Table'.

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

Can you confirm that the import error is referring to the Chem Code cell?

Is it possible that you are using a Chem Name that already exists?  This could cause the same error as you can't have two different Chem Codes that use the same Chem Name.

I would try changing the Chem Name in your import template and see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks,

Nick

Yes the error is referring to the Chem Code cell. I did take your advice and checked that Chem Names are not duplicated, and that does not seem to be the case. I'm still getting these errors on the same few analytes.

Hi Alex,

What happens if you add the ChemCode directly into ESdat without using an import template?

When you're on the zRef table, if you click the red plus icon from the left hand menu you can enter the values directly.

Thanks,

Nick
