Screenshot 2021-04-06 142048.png (37kb) downloaded 0 time(s).I have created a custom QA profile that sets the minimum EQL to 5 but see the following note on QA report table. How do I set this so RPDs are calculated for only concentrations more than 5 times EQL?
*RPDs have only been considered where a concentration is greater than 1 times the EQL. |

Hi Nick,
That comment is referring to when RPDs are calculated, not how it formats non-complying RPDs (which is determined by your profile).
It just means that there needs to be a detectable result before RPDs are considered. Once an RPD is calculated it will then apply your rules to highlight non-compliances.
Have a look at this post for further explanation on what this comment refers to and other ND scenarios: https://www.ESdat.net/forum/posts/m68-RPDs-from-a-non-detectable-analyte#post68
Thanks,
NT

Ok but this is different from what ESdat desktop reports using the same rules. desktop reports 5x, which is more intuitive.

So to clarify, ESdat Server calculates RPDs only when detectable results are greater than 5x the EQL using the rules I have specified? The 1x comment is confusing and I have already had comments from multiple staff. Nick

Apoligies for the multiple posts. in the examples given ESdat calcultes and RPD of 40 for Result 1 = <2 and result 2 = 3. Since Result 2 is <5x EQL this would not be flagged as an exceedance using my rules? Nick

Hi Nick,
Yes that is correct. The RPD will be shown on your table, but will not be formatted as an exceedance as it does not meet your requirements.
We'll also have a look at the comment that is being reported with the RPDs to make sure it is consistent with how it is shown in ESdat Desktop.
It should have the first line which you see, but then the additional lines regarding how exceedances are identified (i.e. referencing your specific 5xEQL and ranges) does not appear to be exporting like it does in ED.
Thanks,
NT

Does not seem to be working correctly in ESdat Server. See attached output (QC Report) for soil dups, lab report CA14089. RPD for Chromium (VI) is flagged but both results are <5x EQL. QC Report.xlsx (155kb) downloaded 2 time(s). QC Report from ESdat Desktop, also attached, does not flag this as an RPD exceedance. Nick QC-ESdat Desktop.xlsx (147kb) downloaded 1 time(s).
