I imported a lab report that was missing a header xlm file, so I added the project number myself when I was purchasing the report.

However once I opened the data, I realised that I had entered the wrong project number. I didn't make a typo when entering the number, I just thought the data was for a different active project (ie. I wouldn't want to merge the data from the two project numbers).

Is there any way to just update the project number of one lab report in ESdat?

Thanks!

Hi Jane,

You can't reallocate a Lab Report in ESdat once it has ben imported.  This is due to the potential conflicts with parent and child records that could be created by making this change.

The only solution is to delete the Lab Report completely and reimport it ensuring you use the correct Project ID.

In this instance, if you can let me know the Lab Report number, I can refund you the purchase price so that you don't have to pay for the report twice.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Jane,

I've deleted that Lab Report and refunded you the purchase credit.

You should now be able to re-import it into a different Project.

Thanks,

Nick
