Hi,

I am attempting to upload some field data using the data import template (attached) but have received the following processing error upon upload;

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I haven't encountered this error before but thought it might be related to the monitoring rounds not existing in ESdat (Do I need to create a monitoring round for each site visit?)

Any assistance would be much appreciated. I can send the data through if needed

Cheers,

Bowen

Hi Bowen,

No there is no need to create Monitoring Rounds first, they will be created by the import if they don't exist.

Out of curiosity, have you tried importing the file again?  It would be great if you could do this, and send through a full screen capture which includes the error message.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Thank you for the clarification regarding monitoring rounds. Yeah I have attempted importing the file multiple times without success (attached is the error message).

Thanks,

Bowen

Hi Bowen,

I'm not seeing any attachments.

Are you using the "Attach files to this post..." feature below the text entry box to add them?

I don't think you can just paste it with the text.

Nick

Hi Nick,

I have used the attached files to this post section with two "current attachment uploads". Hopefully it works this time

Hi Bowen,

The Arrival Date/Time on the Sample Data sheet is empty.

This needs to match what's on the Location Visit sheet.

Cheers,

Nick
