Hi all,
I'm looking at the lab results for a project and I noticed that some upper limits do not appear on the Chem Tables for the Enviro Standard EPA Vic IWRG1828.2. The limits that are missing on ESdat are:
- Fill material upper limits for Total MAH
- Fill material, Cat D, Cat C and Cat B upper limits for Total PAH
- Fill material, Cat D, Cat C and Cat B upper limits for Total Phenols (non-halogenated)
- Fill material upper limits for Total Phenols (halogenated)
The missing values come from Tables 2 and 3 of the Publication 1828.2 by EPA Vic:
https://www.epa.vic.gov.au/about-epa/publications/1828-2
I hope you can help me solving this issue. Thanks.
Juan.

Hello Juan,
The Vic Waste Classification uses specific sum totals. In ESdat these have specific Chem Codes. When you request the waste classification analysis from the lab, the results should be provided against these Chem Codes. However, if you have results that weren't analysed for the specific waste suite, then you may not have these Chem Codes in your results. You can see what the specific paramaters are by searching the standards here: ESdat - Environmental Standards iwrg2.PNG (61kb) downloaded 3 time(s).
If you want to apply these standards to different Chem Codes you will need to create your own customised copy of the standards. You can find details on how to do that in our online manual here: https://ESdat.net/ESdat_Online_Help/index.html?env_standards_settings.htm Just copy the global standards, and add your own Chem Codes. Thanks, Nick

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply.
I am aware that I won't be able to see the Chem Codes (limit values) for samples I don't request analysis for. But unfortunately that is not our case. We have requested lab analysis for the Chem Codes mentioned in the first post, we have got results for those Codes in the Chem Table but still the Upper limit values do not appear hence no exeedances are highligted for those Chem Codes in the samples.
We do not wish to create a customised version of the standards as the default version by ESdat should be able to show us any exeedance in our samples when we request those analyses, same as the previous IWRG621 standard (default version) was doing succesfully.
I am attaching a screenshot where you will see that we've got detects and exceedances for PAHs in some samples but no upper limits and highlights are shown. Picture1.png (995kb) downloaded 2 time(s).
Thanks for your help.
Juan

Hi Juan,
Just to update you on this, we have gone through and configured the totals in the 1828 standards so that they will also be compared with the generic summed totals.
This should resolve the issue that you're encountering.
Thanks,
Nick
