Data View has an Exceedances option but is there any way to add the Project ID, Lab Report Number and Comments (those added on the Lab Report > Details tab) so they appear on the search results table for export as attached?

Hi Greg, You can view the exceedances through the Chemistry Table in Data View. This allows you to choose which sample information you want to add to the tables.
Add in all the required criteria and tick the “exceedances only” in the results drop down so it will only give you the samples with exceedances. Sample Information - Chemistry Tables.png (49kb) downloaded 0 time(s). Exceedances Only.png (24kb) downloaded 0 time(s).
If you need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Thank you, Claire

Hi Claire, thanks for the help on a way to list exceedances with their Lab Report Numbers, I have a supplementary question for you please...When a lab report is flagged as having an exceedance I would like to add a comment against that specific lab report to explain the cause. I can do this on the Details tab where I believe it's given a field heading "Acceptance-Comments". However is there a way that I can export the exceedance details including this comment field (or any equivalent place I could add the comment that relates to the specific lab report exceedance)? Many thanks Greg

Hi Greg,
On the chem table, you can click “Result Details and Comments” and make a comment against a specific result. These comments can then be included in exports. Here is a link to the chemistry tables section in helpdesk that I thought would help: https://help.ESdat.net/en/article/chemistry-tables
Thank you,
Claire

Hi Claire,
Thanks the link helped me add comments to specific cell exceedances, however I couldn't see how I could include these comments in the excel export.
I can see that the drop-down list for the sample information includes "sample comments" but unfortunately the comments I add (via the Results Details & Comments" window appear to be called "Final Comments", "Validation Comments" and these titles do not seem to appear as options on the sample information drop-down list.
I'm sure it's staring me in the face but I'm still struggling to see how I can excel export my comments with the exceedance table? Thank you again Greg

Hi Greg,
Instead of the sample information drop down, you can navigate to results and tick comments. This will include the comments (below the data table) when you export the tables in excel.

Let us know if you have further questions.
Thank you,
Claire
