Hello my ESdat crashes everytime I attempt to assign a parent sample to a duplicate in the Chemistry Samples tab. Has anyone ever had this problem? I have updated to the newest version and that does not help.

We are unsure what can be causing this, but it has been reported before.

Removing the link to the database from ESdat (File - Open - Select & X).  Slightly rename the folder it is in.  Re-open in ESdat File - Open - Other.  That should fix it.  If not try removing everything from the same directory except the database .mdb file and the associated .esd file.

Alex.

Hello Alex, I changed the name of the database and the location of it and it is still crashing everytime I try to do anything. This time I was trying to create a historical template when it crashed several times in the same place. I have deleted the links to all the other file and set the database in a file all its own. Any other tips?

This issue was resolved offline by support.

To most easily resolve this you will need version 4.2.16 or higher.

Select Setup - Refresh Connection.

The issue should be resolved.
