Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I have imported a set of results (say SB01 through SB10) – however I have gotten the lab to reissue these results as BH01 through BH10. I do not want the original Field_IDs/Loc Codes (SB10 through SB10) – if I re-import new results by “Overwrite existing” should this eradicate the old Field_IDs/Loc Codes? /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}

Hello, When importing ESdat results the Sample ID used in the field is populated in to the Field ID column in the Import Template, as well as the Location Code column. The value in the Location Code column should be changed if necessary, and only valid Location Code Values (ie Location Code values that are in the Locations table) will be allowed into the database. You can change the Location Code values to fit your site needs, but you should leave your Field ID values unchanged from what was included on your COC form. Prior to re-importing a lab report a second time you should delete it from the database. This is a cleaner method of re-importing rather than importing with "Overwrite". For example, say a result which was reported in the first issue of the report was subsequently removed by the lab for some valid reason, using "Overwrite" would not remove it from the database. There are lots of other good reasons in a similar style. If you have some entries in the Locations table that you wish to remove you can delete those assuming there is not data (such as samples) that are still referencing them. If other data is referencing a Location that you want to remove you will need to edit that data so that it references a different location (or delete that data) before you can delete that location. For information on editing and deleting see http://www.ESdat.net/ESd...editing_and_deleting.htm and http://www.ESdat.net/ESd...deleting_lab_reports.htm Alex Edited by user Monday, November 12, 2012 2:09:36 AM(UTC)
