Hello Alex

I understand that the Project ID and Site ID are primary keys within the SQL database. However, if someone has entered the wrong Site ID, is there a way to edit the ID either a) within ESdat or b) through a SQL key conversion script? If b), is there a pre-made file for this? (we are using the latest SQL version 4.4.12)

Any assistance would be great.

Thanks

Eric

Hello Eric,

You can rename  a Site or Project in the SQL Server version under File - Site/Project Association. Right click any Site/Project to rename.

Regards,

Warwick

Hi Warwick,

A couple of us have been unable to rename the Site_ID in our SQL database.  we have attempted to use the method as outlined below and it returns the following error message.

"37200 The UPDATE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Locations_Sites_Projects_SIDPID".  The conflict occurred in database "ESdat_HG", table "dbo.Sites_Projects".

Any idea what the problem may be?

Regards

The user is going to wait for ESdat 5 to be released in a few weeks, which will resolve this.
