I'm just wondering how ESdat calculates the TEQ values (in accordance with NEPM 2013 standards) for the carcinogenic PAHs as when I caculate it manually I get a different number?

Hi Poppy, They conversions are located in the Z_Ref_Combined_Compounds. They should be the same as that listed in the NEPM. Brad

Thanks Brad, Just to elaborate further.. ESdat can calculate a "Toxic Equivalent" for PAH's under the "Combined Compounds" functionality. The Combined Compounds functionality allows a list of chemicals to be entered that are to be combined to a total. A weighting can be applied, and is used in this case as the Toxicity. Some of the guidelines that are provided through ESdat have these numbers specified in the guideline, and when this is the case the "Combined Compounds" Import Template in the ESdat compilation of these guidelines is populated. If the data is already in ESdat you can see the imported Combined Compounds under Data Tables - zRef_Combined_Compounds. There are options for how ESdat should treat non-detects when summing Combined Compounds, these can be reviewed and adjusted under Setup - Chemistry - Combined Compounds. Warwick
