Hi There,

Does anyone if it is possible to assign monitoring rounds to chemistry samples in the web interface?

(I know this can be done in the Desktop version)

It would be really handy if this could be done under the Lab Reports Details Tab (refer to pic), when you are assign a sample to a location.

Regards Ash

Hi Ashley,

The ideal workflow for allocating montoring rounds to your samples is to create the monitoring round - when you are collecting the sample by using the field portal. Here is a link to the help documentation explaining how Monitoring rounds work in this contex.

https://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/index.html?monitoring_rounds.htm

As Warwick mentioned in your previous post the Data Migration module will give you similar data editing functionality to desktop but in the more user friendly web interface. I have swicthed over to DMM for all my data uploads and editing and can highly reccomend giving it a go.

Kimberley

Hi Kimberley,

I am aware that I can create a Monitoring Round in the Field Portal which I can add Locations too and Field Data Samples.

However, this does not assign it the the Lab Report data (i.e. Chemistry Sample). Is there a way to do this if you don't have the DMM tab?

I can see that I can do it under the the DMM Tab, however it would be nice to assign a monitoring round to the Lab Data when assinging its Location (like in the Desktop Version).

Regards

Ash

Hi Ash,

Your options in the web interface are either using the DMM to manually add in the monitoring rounds - or as part of the LSPECS / Field portal workflow.

In LSPECS the samples are associated with monitoring rounds and this information is included with a lab submission (or eCoC), when the lab then delivers the lab report - the moitoring round will be automatically assigned along with location codes and sample types.

There is no extra magic button to do this manually in the lab reports view.

Regards

Kimberley
