Hi there,

There is a new guideline from WA (https://www.agric.wa.gov.au/livestock-biosecurity/chickens-eggs-and-organochlorines) that relates to OCPs in soil and poultry. There is a threshold of 0.06mg/kg for OCPs. I have 300+ samples to collate and cannot figure out how to create a combined compound for all of the OCPs. Are you able to assist? I believe you used to have a page on it but that not longer exists.

Cheers,

Seton

Hello Seton,

The ability to create Combined Compounds has been depreciated as all laboratories are now able to create totals for OCP's and other suites and report that in their COA and ESdat results.  You will need to ask your laboratory to reissue the report with that included.

Laboatory calculated totals are superior, in that they are included in the COA, they can be calcuated from the raw (as opposed to reported) results for the individual componds, it removes the possibility of errors being made by the end user of the data, it allows automated notifications of exceedances and is generally easier for the end user.

Sincerely,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I got this response from Eurofins in relation to providing a Total OCP figure with an LOR of 0.06mg/kg which is whayt I need:

"Hi Seton

Unfortunately we can only go down to 0.1 for totals for soils."

Are you guys able to produce an environmental standard for this guideline as it is likely to be required by many consultants moving forward.

Cheers Seton

Hi Seton,

We'll track this one for if other users also express an interest.

In the interim you can easily add your own values as an Environmental Standard.  See https://help.ESdat.net/en/article/adding-your-own-environmental-standard-licence-limit
