Hi, when uploading from laboratory file "Sample" i get an error "there are no specifed parent tables" even though i select create new parent records and add new records. the lab files are importing correctly into a colleagues ESdat Cheers Andy

Hello Andy, FIrstly, can you confirm that your colleague is able to "create parent records" when importing in the same database (ie is it a issue with a particular database). Secondly, it's possible you might get this if you are running v3 of ESdat and they are running version 4. When importing the sample data the sheet name in the Excel template should read "Chemistry_Samples", not "Sample". Also, "Create Parent Records" will in this instance populate any "LocCodes" in the lab data that aren't already in the Locations table into the Locations Table. You can ensure a cleaner dataset by populating your Locations table before importing the lab data and selecting "Require Parent Records". Then any LocCodes that don't match one that is already loaded will generate an error (this might be because of naming inconsistencies). You can then fix it. I hope this helps. Alex.
