Good morning,

We have been using ESdat Online for 3 years now and each time we wonder if there is a more efficient means of doing the following:

  • The graph export to PDF option that is available only shows the legend at the very top of the PDF document, above the first graph. As our graphs have more than two sites shown on each graph, without the legend apparing at the top of every graph, it it impossible to keep track of which site is which coloured data trace on the graphs. We have therefore had to snip the legend and each graph into a Word document just to have the legend show above each graph. As you can imagine, this is a very time consuming process and kind of defeats the purpose of using ESdat to generate graphs.

Is there another way we can reach the desired end result with ESdat?

Hi Jono,

The next update for ESdat (which is due to be release quite shortly), will allow you to export graphs to separate png images, with a separate image for the legend.

You can then insert all the graphs into a Word document (just select them all when you "Insert / Picture") and then to repeat the legend, you can insert it in the page header.

This sounds similar to the process you are currently following, but doesn't include the time consuming component of snipping, cutting and pasting from a PDF.

This process can be completed in only a few seconds once you've downloaded the images, and should get you the output you need.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply and update. Good to hear of a work around to the current method we have had to use.
