Is it possible to sort by different columns in the Chem Tables section prior to excel export (i.e. LocationCode instead of Field ID)?

Hello Jack,

The Chem Table is sorted by the order you have the sample information fields shown.

If you want to sort by Location, simply drag and drop it before Field ID in the Sample Information menu.

It would be handy to be able to sort by columns that aren't the first column before exporting to excel, and to have multiple levels of sorting.

Hi Jack,

If you wanted to do custom sorting, you could utilize one of the sample details columns that you aren't using to add your own custom sort order by entering a number for each sample (such as Sampling Method, Matrix Description, Sample Comments).

Use this as the first column in your table layout, and then hide it when you export the table to Excel.

Doing this you can essentially sort in whatever way you choose.

Thanks Nick.

Hiding the first column would also hide the criteria, though understood that I could just delete those cells and shift left.

These are all minor issues, but it would certainly be beneficial not to require workarounds for sorting.
