Hi,

Is there any way of adding custom fields to the Locations Table, as we can for field data?

Hi Marc,

I'm sorry but the locations table is not cutomisable,

Which additional data fields would you like to add, maybe there is an alternative solution I can suggest?

Regards

Kimberley

Hi Kimberley,

I thought that might be the case.

Alternatively, I know I can link an OData resource through Excel, but is it possible to gather data into sharepoint? I'd basically like to have an alternative database store for additional location columns (and wells), but would really like to bring in data live from ESdat to do this, other than linking to an excel file, that needs opening and data updating manually.

Hi Marc,

Maybe staging the 2 tables in power BI and linking them as part of a data model would work for you?

The OData connection will work as a data source into power BI, or you can use the OData linked excel there as a data source too. Just watch out for the record limit imposed by powerBI on data sources.

Kimberley
