Hi there,

I have created some custom queries for surface water flow and have assigned them the SW query prefix. I would like to have them as a data type button and can create one using setup>data types. However when I come back into the database the button has been replaced with a second logger data button. It is quite inconvenient to have to rename and allocate the prefix every time i go into ESdat, not to mention getting other users to do the same when they access the database.

Is there a way to get my created data type button to be there when i reopen my database?

Hello Paul,

SW was a prefix used in older standard ESdat databases, but was removed (and replaced with the logger button which is more generic, and is essentially what was under the SW button previously).  That is probably still being checked when the buttons load.  Try using a different prefix, even SW_ should work.
