The new ability to add a description for each environmental standard in version 4.3 limits the description to 255 characters in the Access version.  Can this be altered?

It is limited to 255 characters in Access versions as to allow more characters than that requires a Memo field, and unless you have a need for it, and we don't expect most users to, we prefer to avoid memo fields.

You can change it to a Memo field by opening the database in Access and changing the field to Memo there.

Another way to change it to Memo is to select Setup - Run Command (in ESdat) and paste and run the following:

ALTER TABLE zRef_Environmental_Standards_Config ALTER COLUMN Description MEMO

(Applies only to versions > 4.3, using Access backend database)
