Hi,

The concentrations for some results in one database have changed from 1 to 9 decimal places.  For example a result reported by the lab at 2.6 mg/kg is now being shown in ESdat as 2.599999999 mg/kg.

It appears to mainly have happened to inter-lab duplicates and some duplicate samples. It has happened to results from various lab batches, sampling dates and for various chem groups.  Any suggestions on how to fix the problem quickly?

Thank you

Kate

Hello Kate,

If you are using the Access version of ESdat you can modify a setting under Setup - Chemistry  - Significant Figures.

Does that fix it for you?

Alex
