Hi

When we try to import interlab duplicates, an error occurs on surrogate samples.

One or more values are prohibited by the validation rule ''R' Or 'J' Or 'J-' Or 'J+' or 'U' or 'UJ'' set for 'Chemistry_Results.QA_Flag'. Enter a value that the expression for this field can accept.

I've looked at the QA.Flag field which contains values (130, 150) and don't know what rule needs to be entered into this as it gives the option of all of them.

The UCL column next to it contains values (20, 30, 50) and together they look like the upper and lower limits of acceptable surrogate range so I'm reluctant to change the QA.Flag field.

What rule (''R' Or 'J' Or 'J-' Or 'J+' or 'U' or 'UJ'') needs to be in this field if at all?

Hello Barbara,

The QA Flag field needs to have one of those Quality Qualifiers (ie one of 'R' Or 'J' Or 'J-' Or 'J+' or 'U' or 'UJ').  For more information on them see the Lab File Specs  on the ESdat website.

It sounds like the lab file you have has reported the numbers 130,150 in the QA flag field.  They should probably be in the LCL,UCL fields.  If you havn't already done so can you forward the lab files to support so we can take it up with the laboratory and ask them to correct their export.

Many thanks,

Alex
