Hello,

I am trying to import historical data into ESdat using the Chem Column Format of the Historical/Other Blank Chemistry Import Templates. I enter all the data I have which populates the following columns:

Sample Code, Field ID, LocCode, Sampled Date-Time, Matric Type, Original Chem Name, Prefix, Result and Result Unit.

The Well Code column was populated with dashes, the Sample Depth From and Sample Depth To were populated with 0's as there was no data to fill these columns and the Data Source column was left empty.

The chemistry samples import well into ESdat however everytime I try to import the chemistry results I get the following error message in the sample code column:

"Index or primary key cannot contain a null value" how do I address this error so that I can import my historical data?

Sincerely,

 Jessica

Hello Jessica,

Have a read of http://www.ESdat.net/ESd...x.html?importingdata.htm in particular about Double Green Shading representing Primary Keys, and the need for those columns to be populated.

Alex

Hi Alex, I have filled all the required columns and I continue to get the error message. This issue is becoming time sensitive so a hasty reply is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jessica,

Feel free to attach a copy of your Excel Import template  and I will take a look.
