I am interested to find out how ESdat will respond to the recently released Amendment to the NEPM, which not only contains new and more assessment criteria, but includes a much more complex process for assessing against criteria (particularly for EILs and HSLs).

Hi Pete,

We've been tracking this topic on this forum, see http://www.ESdat.net/For...CRC-Care-guidelines.aspx

It has also come up on our linked in group at http://www.linkedin.com/...&goback=.gmr_4122096

The official version has just been made available publically, and we intend to release a copy to people who have indicated they would like to review it for the coming Monday.

The ESdat compilation of NEPM 2013 has been provided to users who have expressed an interest, and would like to review.

Please let me know if you are interested.

It will be made available on our website, incorporating any feedback, once this process is finished.

Hi there, I was wondering whether the NEPM 2013 criteria has been made available for download on the website yet? Or are you currently in the review stage?

I would be interested to see how the new depth based criteria is working and whether it is as simple to implement as the other criteria. Have you recieved much feedback from other users?

Warwick,

When using the NEPM 2013 template wizard, several of the matrix types are wrong i.e SOIL when it should be WATER, which makes for a headache when trying to change once already imported. Also when exporing laboratory results to excel the NEPM 2013 guidelines and exporting to the wrong chemical columns. Is this a know bug that is easily fixed. It takes quite a bit of time to go through all the chemicals can manually double check the guieline and type in the correct one.

Also, seeing as the NEPM 2013 guidelines are depth dependend, one area for improvement of the summary table exporting function would be to apply the applicable guideline to the sample based on it's sample depth.

Look forward to a response from the ESdat team.

Regards,

Dean

Hi Dean,

Yes, the first provision of NEPM 2013 did have the wrong Soil/Water matrix.  We fixed that for sending in subsequent requests.  Most of the first recipiants just fixed it in Excel I think, but we can also send the fixed version.

We expect to put it up on the website when we have completed depth based exceedances as you suggest below.  However the current version of ESdat doesn't support that, so it will need a new version.  Probably looking at a couple of months from now, as there are some other things also to go in.

Regards,

Warwick

Hi Warwick,

I am having issues generating the Soil Vapour HSL's in the new NEPM standard wizard. I am getting the error "Invalid Matrix". Any ideas?

Cheers,

Seton

You can modify the Matrix that is specified in the spreadsheet that contains the environmental standards prior to import.  It will need to match one of the Matricies that you have in ESdat.

You can add additional matricies in ESdat under Setup - Chemistry or under Data Tables - zRef_Matrix_Types.  The matricies that you currently have available are listed in ESdat under Data Tables - zRef_Matrix_Types.
