Afternoon (or morning if that is more appropriate)

Would it be possible to have a column (not sure where is the best table) that could be for sampling frequency. As we begin to manage some of our clients groundwater and surface water data, there is a requirement for ongoing monitoring. With a large number of locations at a site, it would be good to be able to categorize by the frequency of monitoring required to help manage the programs. I know it this would simply be a 'comment' type column but inserting this information into comments seems to a bit too much of a catch all.

Where this is leading up to for us is trying to figure out a process by which our clients or staff receive automatic reminders that a sampling event needs to occur.

Regards.

Hi Eric,

Regarding adding an additional column, you can do this currently in ESdat yourself.  Doing this requires some knowledge of either Access (if using the Access version) or SQL Server (if using that version), see http://www.ESdat.net/ESd...ustomisingdata.htm

As regarding, planning monitoring rounds, and staff getting automatic reminders, this is exactly what we are currently working on with the new web based LSpecs module for ESdat.  See http://www.ESdat.net/Monitoring_Programs.aspx for a brief description, or else we can also arrange for a demo.  We anticipate it will be available around October time.

Regards,

Warwick
