How does ESdat calculate RPDs from a non-detectable analyte? Does it assume a conservative approach of a concentration equal to the LOR, or half the LOR, or does it just return an NA?

ESdat uses, what you have referred to as a conservative approach. Some examples of results, the values used in the calculation and the RPD are given below. As you can see, ESdat calculates the RPD so that numbers are not exagerated beyond what we know about the data. There is currently no ability for the user to customise this calculation.
