Hello and Happy New Year,

We are getting 2 errors when trying to generate chemistry output tables with the summary statistics box selected. The first error that comes up is:

12520 Select method of Range class failed

after this, the next message is:

9350 Cannot run the macro "SetProUCLExe'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled.

This has only happened since we switched to Excel 2013. Can you suggest anything as a fix?

Thank you,

Tom

Hello Tom,

The first error is something we have seen on some Excel 2013 instances.  It may be that running Excel updates will fix it, but we don't have any specific details on which Excel hot fix will fix it.

We have developed a workaround that will be available when ESdat 5 is released in a few months.  If that isn't going to work and it is still causing problems we may be able to release an update for ESdat 4 to address it in a week or two, just for users who have this issue.  Let me know.

Regards,

Warwick

Hello, I have recently taken over as ESdat champion at my company, and have seen this same error on our Excel 2013, but only when we tried to create a new table when one is already open in Excel. I have also noticed that the buttons to format guideline exceedances do not work in Excel 2013. We will try again tomorrow, as another issue I had seems to have resolved itself magically over the course of the day, so perhaps it is just a strange glitch. I will also take a look to see if running this Excel Updates does anything. Just wanted to put in to say that Tom isn't the only one with this issue. Thanks, Brad

Thanks Brad,

The summary statistics function does work and generates a table when you close Excel 2013 and generate the table with no other Excel file open.
