Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to input a notes section for the Chemistry Output Tables. Would this be done through the template, and if so, how - I have taken a look at the template and it is a blank workbook save for the headers and footers.

Thanks,

Elisa

Additionally, is there any way to set up a title block for the Chemistry Output tables? Thanks, Elisa

Hi Elisa

Thanks for your post

The template for the chemistry output table can be edited - please see the following links

http://www.ESdat.net/ESdathelp/chemistry_output_tables.htm

http://www.ESdat.net/ESdathelp/template_directories.htm

http://www.ESdat.net/Forum/yaf_postst345_Getting-the-Header-and-Footers-to-show-up-in-my-chosen-Output-Template.aspx (see final comment)

In relation to adding notes to the Chemistry Output Table:

If you are looking to add comments to specific samples or individual results, the SampleComments field and Comments field can be populated during data import. (These can also be entered/edited post import).

If you wish to add a permanent note (or title block) to your Chemistry Output Table, we suggest you use add a text box to the template (rather than editing cells).

Regards

Tom

Regarding comments (footnotes) in the chem tables, I wonder if it is possible to increase the maximum allowable string length for the various Comments fields.  I find that we occasionally need longer comments, and the default string length is just too short.  Not all abbreviations are appropriate or easily readable.  This would apply also to the Comments field in the zRef_Environmental_Standards table.

Thanks,

Brad

Hello Brad,

You would need to adjust the column size in SQL Server Management Studio (you have the SQL Server version of ESdat).  Please see http://www.ESdat.net/ESdathelp/customisingdata.htm
