I get stuck on chem code of “Hydrocarbon Degrading Bacteria” which I cannot find in Associate chem. Codes or other functions by NIST, Scorecard, and IPCS. So far, I only obtain “Hydrocarbon Tolerant Bacteria” which I am afraid not identical definition.

If there is no existing suitable ChemCode in the database then you will need to add one (using the "Add Code" button on the "Get ChemCodes" form in Excel.  If a CAS number is available it is preferable to use this for consistency, however there will be plenty of cases (such as Hydrogen Degrading Bacteria) where CAS numbers are not applicable.  In this case you can add your own code (Hyd_Deg_Bacteria might be suitable).

The only thing to be aware of is that if you have other data or guidelines which refer to the same compound (or bacteria) you should use the same code if you want them to match on the tables and elsewhere.
