Hi Warwick,

After updating to V.5 our combine chemicals doesnt seem to be working properly.

Ive tried to create a new one and modify an existing one but neither of them are working. And now ive noticed that the 621 chlorinated hydrocarbon isnt working aswell.

This does not seem to be an issue with groundwater, however, i havent spent much time looking into this.

Can you please look into this?

Cheers,

Brad

Hi Brad,

Are there unit conversion issues?

Can you also check that Combined Compounds are set to calculate for Soil under Import - Combine Compounds.

If that doesn't resolve it, would you be able to zip a copy of your database and email through to support@ESdat.com.au ?

Hi Brad,

We're not aware of any software issue or bug, so it is likely to be a data issue.  Things to check would be:

  • Unit Conversion issues.
  • The compounds that are to be combined are in the "z_Ref_Combined_Compounds" table, and are also output in the Chemistry Results table.
  • If a lab report has errors you will get a note during import that Combined Compounds won't run until the errors are resolved.  However, you can force it to run in ESdat under Setup - Chemistry.

If after checking this the issue isn't resolved can you zip a database that has the issue and send it through to support, also a Chem Table export indicating what particular combined compound is missing?

 Regards,

Warwick

This was resolved offline.

Resolution was to select Setup - Chemistry - Combined Compounds and make sure the settings are as needed (ie calculate for soil, water, gas matricies etc..) and click Run.
