Hi, What does 9170 Type Mismatch mean? Upon using the database today (and not doing anything differently), I encounter this error when I try and make tables through either via filter and the reports tab. What is the cause? Sal.

Hi Sally, I presume this is only happening for one database, not others? What button are you pressing immediately before getting that error message? Can you send a screen shot (whole screen) and a zipped copy of the database to support@ESdat.com ? Regards, Warwick

Hi, The error is caused when I navigate to create a results table. I noticed that my normal Location/Sample date options weren't selected and they reverted back to a default. I continue and select the trigger criteria. Theres a few seconds processing time when the error occurs after. If I click ok, I am given a blank excel template spreadshseet. I have recently trialled a second database and a few different datasets within our main active job, in all instances the error occurs. I will send through the screenshots. Sal.

Hi Sally, Can you try resetting your User Profile Settings. To do that you will need to delete (or rename) these files: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\ESdat5\UserProfile.mdb C:\ProgramData\ESdat5\UserProfile.mdb If ESdat 4 was on the PC, also check for and if present delete the following: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\ESdat\UserProfile.mdb C:\ProgramData\ESdat\UserProfile.mdb That will also clear your list of recent databases, so you will need to access them under File - Open - Other. Hi, I gave the instructions a go, I noticed I don't have the C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\ESdat5\UserProfile.mdb folder structure on my PC so I changed and then deleted the C:\ProgramData\ESdat5\UserProfile.mdb file. No luck, the error still occurs. Sally-Anne

Hi Sally, If you can't find one of the folders you will need to either do a search on your PC for the UserProfile.mdb file, or ask IT where the "Users"folder is. Alternatively, If you can see C:\Users\[UserName]\ but not C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData then you can probably type \AppData onto the end of the path, it may be hidden by default. Warwick
