Hi Warwick,

I am getting an error "MapControl5 = 0031 Error during reading file "\\[file name and location]" (code 0)"

Can you please let me know what this error means

Cheers,

Als, once i click OK another message pops up

Error says

"ESdatv5

Access violation to address 0D16CECC in module 'TatukGIS_XDK10_Win32.ocx'. Write of address 00169DEC."

Variations of this message continue to pop up (with variations of the adrress 00169DEC) until i close the program.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi Brad,

Did this just start happening, ie was it working, and suddenly stopped.  If so, do you know if anything happened to the PC in the interim?

If you run a Repair on ESdat under Control Panel - Programs does that resolve it, if not does uninstalling and reinstalling?

Is that message occuring when opening ESdat, or when doing something in the map?

Warwick

Hi Warwick,

Yes this just started. I was importing a jpg as a background in the map view. After importing the image i noticed it was in the wrong spot. So i tried to remove it from the database and the errors started. Please note that the image is 8mb.

After restarting the computer, ESdat seemed to be behaving, but after importing the image again the issue restarted.

I have now again restarted the computer and successfully imported the image and the problem seems to have gone (only now i cannot print a plan using that image cos i think it is way to big for ESdat to handle).
